Welding the CTM Chassis Strengthening Kit

The CTM Chassis Strengthening Kit took around 3 hours to fit. There were no problems.
The existing welds on the chassis that were done in the factory need to be worked around. The differential strengtheners encountered some of these welds and we elected to cut in to the strengtheners to get them to fit around the welds perfectly. You can see one of the typical alterations we had to make below. On the left the part as it arrives. On the right the modifications made to get it to fit around the factory chassis welds.
Below you can see most of the welds needed to fit the kit. The only picture not here is the turret internal strengthener. Prior to welding the parts a coat of WeldThru was given to the surfaces that were to be boxed in. It is a primer and offers corrosion resistance and is available from Rustbuster. The chassis needs to go back to blasting again before paint application.
