Triumph TR4A Ancillaries Restoration
With the engine complete, attention has turned to restoring all of the engine and engine bay ancillaries. There are some new parts going on like a Powerlite Alternator, Hi-Torque Starter and Electronic Ignition. Everything else is being restored. I have always liked a 'Dressed' engine and all of the chrome bolts and nuts are from Custom Fastners. To find out the size of the bolts you want you can use the Rimmer Brothers catalogue and cross refer to Custom Fastners. All the other polishing is my own hard work.

Where you see metal it will have been polished using a DIY polishing kit. Any painted items that sit close to the engine have been treated with High-Temperature paints of various colours. All available at your loco Auto shop. In my case, Halfords. To keep the shine on brass manifold studs and bake and fuel lines, a lacquer has been applied especially for brass. You can by Rylard Brass Lacquer here.

Gear Stick
I like the chrome stick so I will probably do away with the gear level cover or design a shorter one so the chrome of the stick can be seen inside the car.
