This is my collection of TR4A racing images mainly from Sebring in 1966.
The pdf download above is a hi-resolution file of the above 1966 Sebring Triumph ad. A legendary win in the GT class 10 under the genius of Kas Kastner. You can see the Sebring Race Jacket I put together here. Many of the patches are incorrect. It is all a bit of fun!

So this came as a bit of a shocker.
You can see many of the press ads above showing how Triumph celebrated and prompted their 1st,2nd and 3rd place wins in the The GT Class 10. I always thought that was an incredible achievement which in many ways finishing the 12 hour at Sebring was. |

However, Triumph and their 3 TR4As (Incorrectly reported as TR4S in the journal) were the only cars in that class - so, maybe, victory was assured.
The cutting on the right is from the journal and good to see one of the TRs in front. What is of interest is that a 4th place is mentioned in one of the ads but not the article. So Triumph entered 4 cars in the class. No's: 39, 40, 41 & 42. A fifth car, No.92 was entered privately by John .J Kingham a Triumph Dealer of Winterhaven Florida - he was driving. 
The picture below right shows car number 39 that did not finish due to engine problems. So the 4th place awarded to Triumph was in fact a private entry. This could only have had the effect of helping sales.

Froines / Pendleton Triumph TR4A 2nd: 23rd No: 40 Gilmartin / Rothschild Triumph TR4A 3rd: No: 42 Heimrath / Hill Triumph TR4A 4th: No: 92 Vega / Kingham / Byrne Triumph TR4A DID Not Finish No: 39 Tullius / Gates Triumph TR4A Car no:92 was a private entry although they had sponsorship from Champion Spark Plugs.
