Triumph TR4A Rally Side vents
Revington TR sell these TR Works Vents as a kit. They fit Tr4-6. They were used on works cars to get rid of some of the under bonnet heat. They are not cheap but they do work and make the car look cool too! You can go to Revington to see them here. We'll catalogue here how ours fit and the process etc.

Side Vents in a Finished Car |
Zoom Prototype - That became the TRS (Triumph TR4) 1961 race cars of Le Mans.
The side vent to the 'Zoom' designed by Giovanni Michelotti was seen in the TRS derivatives that raced at Le Mans. I like this side vent as it is how the designer - designed it! There is a cool YouTube film of the race. I have included a few screen grabs from the film where the side vent appears for reference. Not great quality!
